    The Darling Dahlias
The second book in the Darling Dahlias series, The Darling Dahlias and the Naked Ladies, will be released on July 5 (just in time for your summer vacation!) This series is set in fictional Darling AL, during the 1930s and features the members of the town's garden club, the Dahlias. The first book, The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree, earned two coveted starred reviews, in Library Journal and Booklist, and is available as an audiobook.

    Mourning Gloria
China Bayles' nineteenth adventure takes her into the darker world of herbs. The signature herbs in this book are plants that contain phytochemicals that keep us awake, put us to sleep, or otherwise influence our moods. There's a mystery, too (naturally!), and visits to China's and Ruby's shops. We know you'll enjoy it. For signed/personalized copies, use our order form.

    Upcoming Fiction
The final book in Susan's series, The Cottage Tales of Beatrix Potter, will be released on September 6. Titled The Tale of Castle Cottage, it tells the story of Miss Potter's wedding to Mr. Heelis. If you haven't started the series yet, you have plenty of time to read and enjoy the first seven books before the eighth and final one is published!

Together, Alone: A Memoir of Marriage and Place
Together, Alone Susan tells the story of her marriage to Bill, the life they have built together on their Texas homestead, and her efforts to strike a balance between the intimacy of marriage and the serenity of solitude. On the book's website, you can read the prologue and the first chapter, watch a trailer, check out the book reviews, click through photo albums, and listen to some lovely music. (Available as an audiobook in 2012)

    Wormwood Wins IHA Book Award
Wormwood Wormwood, the story of China Bayles' visit to a Kentucky Shaker village, has won the coveted Book Award of the International Herb Association. The award is given biannually to books that contribute to the knowledge, information, use, or enjoyment of herbs. It was granted to Wormwood in recognition of the novel's importance as a literary documentation of the remarkable achievements of the Shaker herbalists.
