    Book Report
    .

You can now find Spanish Dagger at your local bookstore! If it's sold out, ask them to reorder. And since we know that some of you just can't wait to get your hands on the book to read the first chapter, we've posted it online. "It's possible to solve a mystery and still not know all the answers," China says. Read Chapter One to find out what's going on with Ruby's mother, what's happening at the herb shop, and why China isn't looking forward to spending the evening with one of her relatives. And then read the book to learn why it's possible to solve a mystery but still come up short with the answers.

For the past several years, Susan has been working on an anthology of women's nature writing. What Wildness is This is now available! You can click on Susan's "Editor's Note" to read her introduction to the book, and you can order it here. You may also be interested in joining Susan and others for a conference focussed on writing about landscape and place. "A Land Full of Stories" will take place at Texas State University, June 8-9.

    Out and About

Susan is in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado during the coming week, with her new book, Spanish Dagger. And next week, she'll be back in Texas for several more stops. Her tour schedule is here. Mark your calendar for the days she plans to be in your area—and be sure and tell your friends. Susan's talks are always fun and informative, and you can bring your collection of books for her to sign.
