Spanish Dagger Book Tour: April 2007
To celebrate the launch of China's fifteenth mystery, Susan will be accepting invitations to speak at April events in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Southern California. If your library/garden/herb group would like to invite her, please read this page carefully: mysterypartners.com/TourHostSite/invitation.html. Deadline for invitations: September 30.

    Contests Coming!
There are only a few weeks left to wait for the publication of China's new Book of Days. To keep us busy while we're waiting, we're holding four weekly herb contests at our Book of Days website: mysterypartners.com/BookOfDays. The first contest begins on Monday, Sept. 4 and ends on Sunday, Sept. 10. So bookmark the site and be the first to enter. And for prizes, what could be better? Four valuable first-edition, mint-condition signed copies of the very first China Bayles mystery, Thyme of Death!

    Out and About

Susan will be in Denver on Friday and Saturday, September 1-2, and in Colorado Springs on Monday, Sept. 4. For details of her appearances, go here: mysterypartners.com/Events.html.

Lifescapes & the Pecan Springs Journal
    .

Susan and Bill are on vacation, but there's plenty of archived material on Susan's blog—for instance, this post on Navajo tea, that Susan wrote last month: susanalbert.typepad.com/lifescapes/2006/07/navajo_tea.html. And if it's cool summer-time cooking you're looking for, Sheila Dawson has a crock-pot recipe for you, on China's and Ruby's blog. Come on over and see what she's cooked up: susanalbert.typepad.com/pecanspringsjournal.
